A few pics

I haven't posted pictures in so long I thought I would make a post of it... This first pic was taken on the 'mom's' weekend. My dear friend who is moving... to Toronto.. is karen, she is on the far right. Beautiful right? ;)
Also, B is growing up so fast. Time flies. Here are a couple cute ones G took while I was working. First B hiding under a yoga mat pretending to camp. He is really excited about our upcoming family trip. And below.. B trying on G's hat. Too cute, I think ;)

Summertime

Summer has officially arrived in Seattle. It is so amazing. I love summer. Everything about summer... the warmth, the long days, swimming, the beach, vacations, shorts, the sunsets... I could go on and on. I feel summer inside me. It lives in me. It is no wonder I was born in the summer, it is so much a part of who I am. Ah, I love it!

I had to say goodbye to a dear friend last night. She and her family are moving. She was my first friend in Seattle. She saved me from the rat house - she has been there for me so many times and I love her so much. We did not say 'goodbye' just see you later. So I did not cry in front of her. But as I walked away, so many waves of emotion hit me. Good thing I had a long drive home to get it all together. I have never been good at goodbyes. Who is? But I am really really bad. Anyways, I love you Karen. You have brought so much love and joy into my life... and you are a forever friend. No matter where you live.

A Special Day

Yesterday was a special day with B because:

1. I woke up to B giggling in his sleep
2. we spent the morning laying facedown on a dock listening to the water make noise underneath
3. when give the choice between a donut and a croissant... he chose a croissant

The Tattoo

I was just sitting here and I realized I have not shown off a picture of my new 'Om' Tattoo.
here is an unusual shot... it is hard to take a picture of your own back - the tattoo on top is the new one. It actually looks better than this now, this was more than a week ago, when it was still healing. the tattoo on the bottom, is the chinese symbol for strength... that I got about nine years ago now.
Yikes, don't mind the pink satin pjs and back fat! ;)

Who am I?

Did you ever stop to ask yourself that question?

I do all the time.

*who do I want to be?
*am I the best version of me that I can be?
*how can I make sure I am making the best choices?
*What defines me?
*What makes me special, makes me unique?
*what do I love about me?
*what do I wish I could change about me?

These are some of the things I am pondering today....

Better...

I am feeling better. Physically I am recovering again from a terrible cold. G and I had a great date tonight. I just pray it all goes well with the upcoming interviews.

work is good.... had an all day meeting today, my day off! but it was inspirational... the focus was being a person of character. and focusing on the book " seven habits of highly effective people."

I need to buy that book, we shall see it's impact. But the whole meeting and philosophy was very yoga if you ask me... I have been on the journey... the path for a while now. Trying to always be a better me.

Sick AGAIN!

okay I am sick again. No voice. But I have to go to work, And teach yoga... oh well, we will see.

B is having tantrum after tantrum. Who says terrible twos? I swear that was a breeze - three is hell!

The good news: G has a second interview for a job he really wants... later this week. (this one is here in Seattle)
AND a phone interview with a company in the Bay Area.
Things are lookin' up.

The Weekend

It was great to meet the ladies from the Online Board.
Friday during the day we all gathered at Karen's house... and socialized.
Then it was off to the hotel and the fun gift exchange.
we all went out to a fun "dualing" piano bar.
I left early, had to head home, that part was a bummer

Saturday B was sick, so I thought about not heading out again, but G really
urged me to go. So it was off to the market (pikes place), shopping and then a great lunch
of burgers.
After burgers, we broke off again and Leigh, Ash and I did a little sightseeing, then off to ASh's tattoo.
it was her birthday. The tattoo is so amazing. I mean really really beautiful.
Then, stopped for a celebratory drink where my friend is a bartender.

We ate at the Crabpot. Awesome. Then out to the bars
I asked My bartender friend for many suggestions of where to go, so at the end of the night, he
came out to see some of the moms.

Oh yeah, he also "came out" - admitted to me, that he is gay. Since I am always trying to set him up, it was about time ;)

I was out far too late or early that is, and after talking to my friend for hours, we walked through the hotel lobby to see two of the mom's leaving for the airport. wow.

a fun filled, crazy weekend, in many many ways. Thanks Ladies.
